Fall Is for New Beginnings: News, Inspiration and Offers for You
"Be the change you wish to see in the world."
– Mahatma Gandhi
This month I'm welcoming October by celebrating the month's symbolism: brilliant, colorful, falling autumn leaves, a time of transformation. I am committing to let go of some of my old ways of doing things and add new tools and more colorful ways of working, opening my mind to new possibilities. It's a time to set a vision that inspires you, along with goals to make it happen, including reaching out to those whom we respect yet have not connected with in a long, long time. Together we may ignite new experiences, collaborations and connections.
That's how I am moving forward after leading the 15th cohort of the Executive Women's Leadership Program at GWU's Center for Excellence in Public Leadership. Look at our graduates' faces beaming with vision and possibility. Each woman presented her personal vision and goals as she completed this breakthrough program. Each left with the new human leadership skills necessary today and in the coming AI world: communication, relationship building, confidence, mindset, compassion and courage.
Over the course of this 3-day program, participants heard from outstanding guest speakers:
Linda Albright of the Albright AI Agency on leadership skills in the AI world
Laura Berland & Evan Harrel, founders, Center for Compassionate Leadership
Kathy Caprino, corporate communication strategist
Sheri West, founder of LiveGirl, the transformative leadership program empowering girls from middle school to college
Michele Scott, tribal councilor for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, which owns and operates Foxwoods Resort Casino
Join the hundreds of women who have completed the EWLP. Learn more and apply here for GWU-CEPL's next Executive Women's Leadership Program, February 17-19, 2027 (limited to only 20 women per cohort), or our 2027 program for new and high-potential managers, Women Leaders on the Rise.
